Within the framework of the project Towards the Introduction of Climate Action in the Education Program of the Bulgarian Schools, funded by the Climate Initiative Initiative (EUKI) of the Federal Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Germany, from 25 to 27th January 2019 a training for the trainers was conveyed – Climate Change: Essentials, Policies, Scenarios and Actions in Europe and Bulgaria.
Host of the training was the National Center for Improvement of the Qualifications of the Pedagogical Specialists at the MES in Bankya.
The training was attended by the project team, including lecturers from Sofia University and their technical assistants. Lecturers of the training were experts, professors, researchers and representatives of the state administration and non-governmental organizations, participants in the form and policies of Bulgaria on climate change.
Part of the topics discussed were: Nature of climate change; International and European policies and implementation at national level; Energy sources and energy efficiency in the building and good practices and useful measures to increase the efficiency of the activity.
The lecturers’ Team prepares training and materials meant for 140 teachers to experiment with the new program in the next school year.
